Cashboard Lands $5M to Turn AI Models Into Trusted FP&A Machines With the First Financial Semantic Layer for CFOs

FINTOP leads investment in the AI-native FP&A platform founded by a two-time CFO, with 500% ARR growth in its first 10 months

New York City, New York (July 22nd, 2026) — Cashboard, the AI-native financial planning and analysis (FP&A) platform built for ‘Main Street’ industries, today announced it has raised a $5 million seed round led by FINTOP, with participation from TTV Capital. The new financing brings Cashboard’s total funding to $6.9 million and will be used to scale its go-to-market efforts, accelerate product development, and launch its forthcoming AI budgeting and forecasting offering.

Cashboard’s mission is to give finance teams a single, governed source of truth, turning AI models like Claude into trusted FP&A machines rather than inconsistent, ad hoc agents. Built for CFOs at businesses operating in the real economy, including healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, energy, and PE-backed companies, Cashboard holds a finance team’s live data, metric definitions, mapping logic, and permissions in one place, and surfaces it through a single MCP. This allows Claude, ChatGPT, and other models to work from the same trusted foundation. No CSV dumps, no re-explaining how metrics are calculated, and no mappings drifting out of date. By unifying all financial data and context into a single semantic layer controlled by finance, Cashboard turns any frontier AI model into an infinitely scalable FP&A team.

Cashboard was founded by Julian Rowlands, a two-time CFO at Xendit (valued at $3B) and Spruce (acquired by Zillow). The concept was born out of firsthand frustration with the tools available to finance teams at operationally complex, fast-scaling businesses. At the time, building a true source of truth to generate reliable financial figures took months or years and required an army of data engineers and FP&A analysts. The cost of not having a source of truth has grown exponentially in the AI era: without a foundational semantic layer, Claude cannot be a force multiplier for FP&A leaders and teams. Live data, metric definitions, mappings, and permissions still live in spreadsheets by default, so every AI session starts with manual data imports and finance ends up checking the machine’s work. Cashboard solves this by serving that context as a single governed source of truth that any AI tool can draw on.

“Finance teams at the companies that run our real economy deserve better than what the market has offered them,” said Julian Rowlands, CEO and Founder of Cashboard. “I’ve been the CFO in the room, staring at a stack of disconnected tools with mismatched data labels and a team buried in manual data chores. AI was supposed to transform finance, but without a trusted ontology, it just turns the CFO into an AI babysitter, dropping in endless CSVs and triple-checking every number. We built Cashboard to fill that gap, so AI can do the work of an army of analysts that you can actually trust.”

Unlike rigid legacy platforms or homegrown data stacks, Cashboard combines a single powerful MCP with a flexible web app for managing integrations, data mappings, access permissions, and canonical libraries that AI can reliably build off of. The platform connects every ERP, CRM, HRIS, data warehouse, spreadsheet, and more through its 900+ integrations. Cashboard’s state-of-the-art AI-powered data dictionary surfaces new data labels for one-click approval, so mappings never drift. A metrics and report library lets teams define how each metric, such as margins and efficiency measurements, is calculated, so agents and humans can use consistent definitions every time. Row- and system-level access permissions travel with the data across all sources and audiences, so an AI tool used by stakeholders can only surface data that finance wants each user to see. With this foundation in place, all FP&A execution work can be turned into scheduled tasks in AI tools like Claude, and can deliver output to anywhere stakeholders work, in Slack, Excel, or any MCP-compatible tool.

“Cashboard is wholly transforming the FP&A function for the companies that power our economy. Julian’s experience as a two-time CFO and operator, paired with the Cashboard team’s rapid pace of AI innovation, is exactly what it takes to give finance a trusted foundation for AI in a traditionally underserved segment,” said Jared Winegrad, Partner at FINTOP.

Cashboard has seen rapid commercial traction since launching its AI products, growing AI product ARR by 6x in the first 10 months. The funding round also includes continued participation from TTV Capital, which backed Cashboard in its pre-seed round. The company is further supported by Y Combinator and a distinguished group of operator-investors, including founders of Alloy, Xendit, and TrueML, the Deputy CFO of CBRE, and the former CFO of ZoomInfo.
